Once a year 5 Painters & a Potter host a local showcase of their works.  Music will fill the air and hors d'oeuvres are served while guests mingle and find treasures they'd like to add to their home or give someone as a gift.

The uniqueness of 5P&P stems from the fact that it is comprised of nationally known artists all of whom work locally and have had deep roots in our community for decades. - Tara O'Neil.

The art event is held at Jim Rice's Clay Place, 1555 Shadowlawn Dr. (corner of Davis Blvd.) in Naples, Florida.  If you've never been to The Clay Place, the grounds are filled with gardens and old-growth trees forming a canopy which enhances Rice's pottery ranging from whimsical to the monumental.  The Potter, Jim Rice, has created environmental ceramic pieces, including fireplaces, wall murals, pool tiles, fountains, animals, and planters. His repertoire of functional works includes place settings of dishes, serving bowls, and decorative pieces highlighted by his lively fish platters which are oven, dishwasher, and microwave safe. www.naplesclayplace.com

Tara O'Neil, www.taraogallery.com The tropical palette of her childhood continues to significantly affect Tara's work.  Although most noted for her vivid oil paintings, she has admirably proved her hand at drawing, photography, print-making, asseblage sculpture, and carpentry.

You then can see great canvases by the artist, Phil Fisher, who works predominately in oil & watercolors and is commonly seen painting throughout the Naples area. His award-winning seaside images both soothe and stimulate viewers around the world. “I like to think of my paintings as sanctuary for those whom feel anesthetized by technology.” www.philfisherfineart.com

Natalie Guess' booth showcases her use of the fine art of batik.  She has been teaching this type of art for over 35 years.  She and her husband, artist Phil Fisher, own Guess-Fisher Gallery.  www.natalieguess.com

When all is awry in the world, good represents evil and vise versa, trust in yourself. You are the pilot of your own ship, and the multitudes are generally wrong.  Rick Wobbe offers stained glass designs of butterflies, dolphins chasing bait fish and so much more. An attempt at three dimensional look on a two dimensional plane. View Rick Wobbe work online.

As you finish your route along the path of artists you'll end at Paul Arsenault's showcase.  “My goal as a painter has always been to capture an essence with new eyes, even if it is a familiar scene,” Paul says. His work is a celebration of simple things, of the everyday and often overlooked elements of a place. He has traveled throughout the world capturing the heart and soul of rapidly changing communities.  www.arsenaultgallery.com
